1. LIVING ON-CAMPUS

Note: The on-campus accommodation shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant articles of the Rules and Regulations for International Students of Tianjin Medical University.

2. LIVING OFF-CAMPUS

Students can apply for living outside the campus after six-month stay in International Student Dormitory. The students who live outside the campus must go to local police station with their house-owner to go through necessary procedures and apply for Registration Form for International Student Living outside Campus. Without such a form, it is illegal for any international student to live outside the campus, and the student cannot get legal protection if anything happens during his/her stay outside campus. The student can face a penalty of 500 RMB/day fine. Moreover, he/she cannot apply for extension of visa or residence permit. The procedures for getting a “Registration Form” are as follows:

(1) Application for Living outside the Campus

The student should firstly fill in Declaration of Responsibility for International Student Living outside Campus and Agreement on Living outside Campus and then submit an application for living outside the campus to his/her teacher-in-charge.

(2) Get Application of International Student for Living outside Campus

The teacher-in-charge completes Application of International Student for Living outside Campus based on the address and affixes the seal of medical school on it. Meanwhile Declaration of Responsibility for International Student Living outside Campus and Agreement on Living outside Campus should be kept by the teacher.

(3) Registration at local police station

The student concerned should go through the procedures for registration of residence outside the campus at local police station along with his/her house-owner within 24 hours. The documents needed are:

For the house-owner: property ownership certificate, household registration booklet, identification card and leasing contract, both originals and photocopies are needed;

For the student: passport, student ID card, Application of International Student for Living outside Campus, both originals and photocopies are needed;

(4) Checking out at the dormitory in the university

The student concerned must inform Business Center one week before he/she prepares to move out of the dormitory. Having obtained Registration Form for International Student Living outside Campus, he/she needs to check out at the Business Center and Front desk. Before checking out, he/she must not owe any lodging fee. The student can get his/her deposit refunded by submitting the receipt and after the inspection of the room by the receptionist at the Front Desk;

(5) Change of Residence Permit

The student concerned should go through the procedures for such change at Entry & Exit Administration Bureau of Tianjin Public Security Bureaus with application letter, passport and Registration Form for International Student Living outside Campus within 10 days.

(6) Change of Residential Address outside the Campus

If any student living outside the campus changes his/her address, he/she needs to go through the same procedures mentioned above and get the change registered in record at local police station within 24 hours.

Note: The off-campus accommodation shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant articles of the Rules and Regulations for International Students of Tianjin Medical University.
