Constitution of Alumni Association of Tianjin Medical University

Chapter General Principles

Article 1 The association is named “Alumni Association of Tianjin Medical University” and is abbreviated to “AATMU”.

Article 2 The association is an international, non-profitable and non-political organization. It is a social organization formed voluntarily.

Chapter Aim of Association

Article 1 The purpose of association is to strengthen the contact between the alumna in their country, enhance the friendship, sentiment and relationship between university and alumna and alumna in their country and in different countries and also promote to carry out the exchange and collaboration in teaching, research, medical care, academy and culture between alumna and Alma Mater to make contribution for medical cause in the world.

Article 2 The Alumni association of Tianjin Medical University is a Federation of Alumni Association. The graduates in their country are allowed to voluntarily set up the Alumni Association Branch. The President of branch should be democratically elected by alumna in their country and then report to Federation of Alumni Association for examination and approval. All association branches must observe the law and regulations in their countries and accept the supervision and management of relative departments.

Article 3 Headquarters of the Alumni Association of Tianjin Medical University is based in building of International Medical School of Tianjin Medical University.

Chapter Members

Article 1 The members of association must meet the following requirements:

(1) Support the constitution of Association.

(2) Join in the association voluntarily.

(3) Is graduates of Tianjin Medical University.

Article 2 Fulfill the following obligations as members

(1) Observe the items of constitution, fulfill the obligations and execute the resolution.

(2) Safeguard the rights and interests of association.

(3) Complete the assignments from association and actively support and participate in all the work and activities.

(4) Inform relative information and provide data and materials.

Article 3 The term of association is 4 years. The meeting of alumni association is held every 4 years. For the particular reason re-elect when a term expires may be held earlier and postponed, but must report to the Federation of Alumni Association for approval. The postponed re-election cannot exceed one year.

Article 4 The tenure of President, vice president and secretary-general is 4 years and may hold office for three consecutive terms at most.

Article 5 President can exert the following authority:

(1) Call meetings or conferences and formulate the annual plan and long-term program.

(2) The federation of alumni association has right to check and guide the plan and practice of association branches.

(3) The branch may sign documents and assign relative annual work approved by the Federation of Association first.

(4) The Federation of Association has right to understand and coordinate the work and program of association branches.

(5) The association has right to meet with alumna, relative institutes and visiting scholars, arrange lectures and conferences and talk about cooperation, etc.

(6) Handle other routine work.

Article 6 The Federation of Association holds a meeting of branch presidents every two years and discusses about relative programs and assigns the relative tasks.
